Sweet and sour in flavour with good fruit weight and balance. A fresh, soft and dry style of great character. An excellent example of a varietal Verdelho.

Winery Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour.
A sweet, generous, attractive nose of quince and confectionery, with hints of preserved lemons – the latter are very typically Verdelho.
The wine features a fine early palate, with those classically-varietal lemons and herbs, which fills out as the palate evolves to show the slightly oily richness – yet with prominent acidity – which are the hallmark of the variety.
It is great with antipasto, which as we all know can come in many shapes, colours and flavours. A good platter will include all sorts, from salty cheeses, olives and meats to fried mushrooms and zucchini flowers, vinegary pickles to fresh vegetables, and everything in between. That’s diversity. But Verdelho’s unique freshness yet richness, and cleansing acidity, can handle it. If you want to team it to a main course, let it loose on creamy pasta; it is even robust enough for a moderately spiced spinach and lamb curry.
