Winery Tasting Notes
2005 Petaluma Coonawarra Merlot has the ripe fruit aromas and flavours of a warmer vintage wine but has the acid and tannin structure typical of cooler years. This is a reflection of the cool summer and hot autumn harvest. Medium colour density and sparkling translucence epitomise there find Coonawarra Merlot style established by Petaluma that ages so successfully for at least two decades.
