Winery Tasting Notes

The 2012 Hanlin Hill Vineyard has produced a full flavoured, dry, slatey mineral Riesling. This vintage will go down in history as one of the great vintages, with wonderful high natural acidity.

This Riesling is a full dry style, with lovely delicate floral aromatics and a hint of tropical fruit. Lemon-lime blossom on the nose flows onto the palate, showing trademark citrus flavours with a hint of spice. The natural high acidity gives wonderful lift on the finish.

The 2012 is a wine that is immediately approachable, but will also age really gracefully for many decades. It is a wine that will happily compare with other great Petaluma Rieslings, notably the 1980, 2002 and 2011 vintage.
