Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma

The 2010 BWM Pinot Grigio displays delicate floral aromas with underlying pear and melon fruit.

Palate

The palate is very racy and refined, full of lovely crunchy pear. It boasts depth of flavour that is a result of the cool climate fruit and extended time on yeast lees.

Vineyard

The Adelaide Hills sub-regions of Piccadilly and Lenswood are home to the Pinot Grigio (Gris) vines planted between eight and 13 years ago.

Fruit is hand picked and delivered carefully to the nearby Petaluma winery to retain the fruit's pristine flavours. This is a crisper more elegant style of Pinot Grigio. The Adelaide Hills continue to produce wines of regional distinction. This fresh Pinot Grigio from some of the original plantings in the region, is no exception.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

The sweeping and curving Adelaide Hills in South Australia are home to the cool fresh vineyards that create the Bridgewater Mill wines. Grown on vines up to 25 years old and at a cool 300-450 metres high, Bridgewater Mill wines are finely drawn with taut structures, pure fruit and crisp clean flavours.

The dramatic wine labels originate from a single artwork inspired by the sweeping horizon line of the definitive Adelaide Hills landscape. At the very heart of the Adelaide Hills lies Petaluma’s Cellar Door, the heritage listed Bridgewater Mill, est. 1860.
