Expert Reviews

"Made in the Italian pivot grigio, rather than French pinot gris style (which applies to the Barwang wine reviewed above), this is lightly textured, elegant and zesty. Riotously perfumed with a mouth-feel of classic grigio pear and honeydew melon-like characters. These flavours lace with an appealing mineral-acidity. A terrific oyster wine." - Jeff Collerson, The Daily Telegraph, Feb 2009

Winery Tasting Notes

The 2008 Bridgewater Mill Pinot Grigio displays delicate floral aromas with underlying pear and melon fruits. The palate is very crisp and refined but enjoys depth of flavour from the riper Lenswood parcels and time on yeast lees in tank. The Adelaide Hills continue to produce wines of regional distinction. This fresh Pinot Grigio sourced from some of the original plantings in the region, is no exception.

Grays Tasting Panel Review

A good example of the varieties' richness, rich and creamy textured wine. Restaurant quality.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

The sweeping and curving Adelaide Hills in South Australia are home to the cool fresh vineyards that create the Bridgewater Mill wines. Grown on vines up to 25 years old and at a cool 300-450 metres high, Bridgewater Mill wines are finely drawn with taut structures, pure fruit and crisp clean flavours.

The dramatic wine labels originate from a single artwork inspired by the sweeping horizon line of the definitive Adelaide Hills landscape. At the very heart of the Adelaide Hills lies Petaluma’s Cellar Door, the heritage listed Bridgewater Mill, est. 1860.
