Balanced and long, its concentration is attributed to a stunning vineyard now over a decade old. This is a wine to savour now or shall thrive under careful cellaring conditions given the chance.

94 Points - "Rippling with fruit-sweet blackberry, chocolate, spice and licorice flavours; fine tannins, good line and length." - James Halliday - James Halliday Wine Companion 2009 - July 2008
A touch of viognier enhances this exotic ture of this Adelaide Hills wine. Raspberries, Turkish delight, boiled sweets – gorgeous. - Toni Paterson MW - Australian House & Garden - August 2008.
"Give this South Aussie time to breathe and you will be rewarded…a smart, peppery finish by glass end. Light bodied and vibrant red in colour, this shiraz comes from the Shining Rock Vineyard and has a subtle viognier influence. Well-balanced and full of oak anise, drink it now or cellar carefully.” - Tyson Stelzer - Style - January 2008.
Winery Tasting Notes
The Shiraz is a bright, deep, vibrant red colour. Aromatically, the wine displays fresh ripe blackberry, lifted plum blossom and faint musk with its subtle Viognier influence. The palate shows a natural dark berry spectrum with smooth tannin true to perfectly ripe Shiraz, underpinned by subtle but purposeful oak anise. Balanced and long, its concentration is attributed to a stunning vineyard now over a decade old. This is a wine to savour now or shall thrive under careful cellaring conditions given the chance.
