Located in Balhannah, Lenswood, Forreston and the Piccadilly Valley, the hand tended Bridgewater Mill Vineyards are all over 15 years old. They produce premium Chardonnay fruit from the warmer fringes to the coolest valleys on a variety of soil types. The fruit was picked from mid March to early April and delivered to the nearby Petaluma winery in Piccadilly.

4 Stars / 90 Points "Fresh packaging and bright contents...Trademark Adelaide Hills nectarines and peaches, some honeysuckle, the oak is in check. The palate delivers ripe peach flavour and some slippery smooth texture. Plenty here to enjoy." - Nick Stock - Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2009 - November 2008.
92 Points & Highly Recommended - "Gentle melon and stone fruit aromas, but is unexpectedly lively and intense on the palate and finish" - James Halliday - James Halliday Wine Companion 2009 - July 2008
90 Points "Fresh varietal stone fruits, really expressive and bright with honeysuckle, almond meal and gently applied oak. Ripe, luscious peach and melon flavours, and crisp acidity holds it all in place. Style and value.” - Nick Stock - Wine Business Monthly - February 2008.
Winery Tasting Notes
The 2006 Bridgewater Mill Chardonnay is mid yellow in colour with a green tinge. The wine displays citrus and white stone fruit aromas with subtle yeast character and integrated nutty oak. Dominated by varietal fruit, the Chardonnay is complex and layered through careful vineyard selection across the Adelaide Hills and purposeful winemaking techniques to best express a focused regional wine.
