91 Points & Highly Recommended. A complex regiol blend and partial barrel ferment plus 6 months in oak playing a role; quite ripe tropical fruit but good acidity; well made. James Halliday James Halliday Wine Companion 2009 Jan-09
4.5 Stars & Best Wine of 2008. Lovely fresh, grassy nose with faint tropical hints. Excellent palate – a real fruit bomb. Very fresh, long and in perfect balance. A good commercial style with a couple of years cellaring potential. Winestate Annual 2009 Jan-09
For winter, white wines need depth and richness. This wine transforms a summer favourite, sauvignon blanc, with skilled winemaking and a whisper of oak into a drier, more subtle, winter-weight wine that still has a lip-smacking tang. Best with seafood, pasta and cheeses. Maryann Egan Marie Claire Jul-08

Winery Tasting Notes
The 2007 Fumé Blanc is a very pale straw with fresh, green tints.
It has fresh, lifted lemon and tropical fruit aromas, complimented by an attractive spicy character from the oaked component.
The palate displays generous passionfruit and white peach flavours, with the Tasmanian component adding crisp citrus, mineral notes and great length.
Best in its youth, Taltarni Three Monks Fumé Blanc 2007 is the perfect spring and summer wine and would match perfectly to a number of seafood dishes, including grilled scallops and seared tuna.
