Appellation: Gevery-Chambertin A.C., Burgundy, France
Sourced from the Les Seuvrees vineyard located directly below the Premier and Grand Cru vineyards of Gevrey – Chambertin. This wine possesses outstanding balance – flavour vs. structure and immediate appeal vs. cellaring potential.

‘Serious and somber dark berry fruit aromas combine with notes of pungent earth and a wisp of animale that gives way to delicious
medium-bodied flavors that possess slightly better integration of the supporting structure as well as fine length.’BG33
Winery Tasting Notes
100% Pinot Noir.
Typical of the vintage, the wine is tight and brooding with a nose of dark berry and earthy undergrowth.
The palate mirrors with a depth of attractive medium bodied flavours wrapped in layers of complexity and soft acidity.
Organically grown and hand sorted in vineyard and winery before 100% de-stemming. A long maceration and cold fermentation followed by fourteen months maturation in Francois Frères oak. Bottled without fining or filtration. In 2008, the length of time on skins was reduced and the ferments pumped over more than punched down.
