A wine with a very good track record, and it's not hard to see why; a minerally frame holds the fine, yet intense, lime/lemon fruit in perfect balance; the finish is full of life, but makes it perfectly clear this will be a great wine in the future. Low-yielding vines are the lynchpin. Rating 95 - Drink by 2034, James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2015).
Winery Tasting Notes
Pale straw in colour.
Attractive on the nose with a wonderful mix of white peach and stone fruits lingering into fragrant and lifted aromas of orange and lemon.
Displaying vibrancy and character, the wine is fresh, crisp and well balanced. Beautiful flinty minerality adds depth and poise to this wine granting wonderful medium to long term cellaring potential.
Riesling is perfectly matched to shellfish, freshly shucked oysters and delicate seafood, balancing the food with its crisp acidity.
