- SA - Barossa
- South Australia
Open-fermented for 7-10 days, matured in new French and American oak. It has a welcoming bouquet and a supple, medium-bodied palate with perfectly ripened black cherry and blackberry fruits that have sopped up the oak and easily carry the tannins. Lovely wine, appealing price. Rating 94 - Drink by 2032, James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2015).
Winery Tasting Notes
The McGuigan Shortlist Shiraz is a well-structured, full-bodied wine typical of the great Barossa Valley. It has rich blackberry and plum flavours with a hint of liquorice and oak with a long, seamless finish.
