"Quite restrained on the nose. Light and lean and stylistically minimalist. Lemons and limes and sherbert run through the palate. In terms of its style, there is a subtlety that is reminiscent of some northern Italian whites – it is unashamedly about drinkability more than flavour impact. Clean and fine on the finish."David Le Mire, WBM (01/Sep/2010)
Winery Tasting Notes
70% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc.
This classic Pemberton blend exhibits intense aromas of straw, melon, stone fruit and citrus.
The balanced rounded palate finishes crisp and clean. With 1-3 years of bottle age the Semillon component creates a fig like flavour, further softening the wine style.
A very versatile blend, try freshly shucked oysters with sea salt and lime or with pan-fried snapper and asparagus. Goats cheese such as Castelo Branco or Mothais Sur Feuille.
