The 2011 season was challenging in Central Otago with unsettled weather throughout January and February. Strong flowering and fruit set coupled with warm spring conditions resulted in vigorous canopy and bunch development with larger than average berries. With March came settled conditions which continued through picking. Careful vineyard management and picking decisions resulted in sound fruit with great fruit expression on arrival into the winery.

Winery Tasting Notes
Bright cherry red with violet hues
Lifted cherry and blueberry notes with dried spice and earthy undertones.
Generous palate opens with luscious cherry fruit leading into a spiced core of blueberry, thyme and earthy notes. Fine acidity and elegant silky tannins knit together the mid palate providing structure and supporting a long fruit driven finish.
Drinking well now and will continue to do so until 2017
