‘Marmaduke’ is named after Marmaduke Terry, one of the first settlers of the Margaret River region at the turn of the century. He surveyed vast tracts of the hinterland of Western Australia and farmed with his family at Wallcliffe, on the banks of the Margaret River.
Marmaduke is a Shiraz sourced exclusively from Margaret River. The aim is to produce a fruit forward, soft and spicy red wine, which exhibits the regional expression of Margaret River and varietal intensity of shiraz. Rich juicy berries with pepper and spice are the hallmark characteristics of this wine.

Bright colour; a neatly presented portrait of southern Margaret River shiraz, with its cool grown red berry fruit flavours given well measured support from tannins and oak. Rating 91 - Drink by 2018 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (SEP/2013)
Juicy mixed berry fruit, raspberry rope, pepper, lavender and aromatic dried herb stuff. Medium bodied, fleshy chalky tannin, bright fruit and a punchy finish of good length. For whatever reason, it has a sort of Spanish red wine character around it. Excellent. My kind of sub $20 red. Rating 90 - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
One of Margaret River’s pioneers, now under the ownership of LVMH and with chief winemaker Rob Mann at the helm, is making some of the most exciting wines in its history. This is the entry level red, a generously flavoured regional shiraz with ripe fleshy texture. Top 10 Best Valued Red - Peter Forrestal Money Magazine

Bright and expressive fruits carry onto the palate with abundant plums, wild berries and a touch of black pepper. The texture is savoury and spicy with a touch of dusty tannins balancing the juicy plush fruit leading to a long and refreshing finish.
