A classic méthode traditionnelle style blended from a range of inspiring and diverse cool climate vineyards, Chandon Blanc de Blancs embodies the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay.
- AUS - Multi-regional
The chardonnay base wine came from both the Lower Yarra Valley and the very cool Upper Yarra Valley, Macedon Ranges and the King Valley; bottle-fermented, and with over 30 months on lees. Bright straw-green; it has good mousse to a bouquet and palate brimming with white peach fruit, while retaining delicacy and finesse. The balance, too, is particularly good, the finish appropriately long. Rating 94 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (AUG/2012)
Winery Tasting Notes
Delicate and floral to start, this exquisite wine then cascades with varietal stone fruit chardonnay character.
A creamy mid palate, the result of extended yeast ageing, tapers to a fine and lingering finish of fresh, zesty acidity. A vintage wine that reveals the fantastic conditions of the year, it is a perfect choice as a sophisticated aperitif or an inspired dining partner.
