Expert Reviews

Gleaming straw-green; in the year of its birth the wine received 94 points (Sept), and, as anticipated, has developed superbly. Even now, its laser-like citrus fruit and echoes of honey has years to go, building yet greater complexity along the way. Rating 96 - Drink by 2023 - James Halliday, Austaralian Wine Companion (MAR/2013)

Almost honeyed spice on the nose. White flower, mineral and slate infused with lime and citrus characters. Powerful and rich with appealing, classic, mature Riesling flavours. Decanter.com

Winery Tasting Notes

Light golden in colour with lovely green hues, this wine shows brilliant clarity.

Wonderful aromas of buttered toast and ripe citrus lime are present on the bouquet, and lead into a full and concentrated palate which refreshing shows rich brown lime and lemon zest combined with aged characters of butter and toast. Classic Clare Riesling has a creamy texture with a crisp acidity and a pleasantly dry finish.
