Compassionate, generous and determined, Eileen Hardy’s spirit for life and adventure continues as the very heart of Hardys. From family matriarch to beloved pioneer of the Australian wine industry, her dedication for excellence still weaves its way through every Hardys wine and provides theinspiration behind its enduring success.

The philosophy used in the making of this Pinot Noir is unashamedly Burgundian and terroir driven, using different techniques to bring out the expression of the fruit and the vineyard.

Expert Reviews

Deep colour; deeply fruited bouquet of black cherry, liqueur soaked plum, fresh herbs and toasty oak; the palate is dense and seriously tannic, with structure the dominant theme; certainly a Pinot made for the big red wine drinker.

Rating 92 - Drink by 2016 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2011)

Winery Tasting Notes

Medium red in colour with vibrant hues.

Complex, funky aromas, the bouquet is enticing with hints of five spice/anise and strawberry, combined with earthy notes of game and ‘forest floor’ interwoven with fine French oak

The palate is a mirror image of the bouquet, with additional hints of plush red fruits and barrel ferment complexity. The wine has rich, sweet fruit with fine tannins, and is completely balanced by a wonderful mineral acidity.
