The 2007 HRB Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from premium vineyards in Coonawarra and Margaret River, two regions which are synonymous with outstanding Cabernet in Australia.
The growing season leading into Coonawarra’s 2007 vintage was difficult in many ways due to the hot, dry conditions. This was contrasted by the exceptional growing and ripening conditions of Margaret River. Like Laurel and Hardy, these two regions seem like an odd combination but they work so well together, with the structure and power of Coonawarra that is balanced and enhanced by the rounded, full complex flavours of Margaret River.

Winery Tasting Notes
Rich red with vibrant hues
Very bright cassis, mint and dry herbs give way to cedary oak where and complex olive and tobacco leaf interplay.
A medium bodied style showing persistence of flavours. The powerful structure and choc-mint fruit characters from Coonawarra blend beautifully with the Bordeaux-like, cassis, graphite complexity of Margaret River. Persistent tannins backed by minerally acid lengthens the palate.
