In 1893, the Laira Vineyard was established by Captain Stentiford on a premium parcel of Coonawarra land. Eric Brand, the first Patron of Coonawarra, became the custodian of the vineyard more than half a century later. The Stentiford's Old Vine Shiraz draws its fruit from these original vines, now more than 110 years old.

Winery Tasting Notes
Bright Garnet Red.
The nose is rich and intense displaying blood plum, blueberry and blackberry fruit backed by spicy cedar oak aromas.
The Stentiford’s has a full bodied complex and rich fruit driven palate showcasing pure blood plum and dark berry fruits finely integrated with spicy cedar oak. The wine has great length finishing with a powerful but fine tannin structure and lingering fruit flavours.
Peak drinking will be from 2013 onwards and with careful cellaring this wine will age well for at least the next 10 to 15 years.
