With the view to continue the quality evolution of our Barwang Pinot Gris we decided to include some selected parcels from Tumbarumba, Tasmania and the Adelaide Hills. All three regions having a fabulous reputation for growing Pinot Gris, each providing a different nuance to the overall blend. The three regions are all cool climate areas and ripen the variety exceptionally well.

Winery Tasting Notes
An intense mix of complex characters, namely sweet pear, wild honey and citrus notes are found with fresh Granny Smith apples, French vanilla yogurt and some subtle floral undertones.
A deliciously long and concentrated palate with green apple and sweet pear flavours combining with beautiful natural acidity, providing length and focus to this sublime palate. A small amount of barrel fermentation creates a wine with fine texture and amazing complexity.
A wine to enjoyed now or up to three years from vintage.
A Blend from Three Different Regions
Tumbarumba grows Pinot Gris with melon-citrus flavours with pronounced flinty acidity, while the Tasmanian vineyards located right on the East Coast of Tasmania are well exposed to the open seas, producing pronounced lifted lemon and honeydew aromatics with great palate texture. The Adelaide Hills, the third of the trio, grows Pinot Gris with explosive pear flavours with a rich soft, mouth feel.
