Evans & Tate found its home at Redbrook vineyard in 1974, when it was initially planted to dry-grown Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Nestled in the heart of the Wilyabrup wine region in Margaret River, Redbrook represents a range crafed from only the most exceptional fruit parcels of the vintage that enable a bold, thought provoking expression of Margaret River and Evants & Tate. Consistently producing powerful wines full of rich fruit character, if cellared correctly, these beautiful wines will continue to reward for many years to come.

Wonderfully bright crimson; the bouquet is equally attractive and varietally expressive, a theme that continues through the palate and into the finish; cassis fruit has a subtext of leaf, black olive and earth that adds to, rather than detracts from, the wine. Has the elegance to carry it for many years to come. Rating 95 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2014)
Winery Tasting Notes
Vibrant, deep purple/black with a dense purple rim.
Dried herbs, redcurrant and floral notes with underlying characters of well seasoned cedar, savoury spice and tobacco leaf.
Seamless with tremendous length and intensity of flavour and a lovely savoury tannin grip that Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon is renowned for which adds texture and balance. Cool Cabernet characters of redcurrant, menthol and tobacco leaf overlay riper characters of cassis, green olive and blood plum to produce a medium bodied wine with remarkable depth and length of flavour. The ability for the wine to evolve into a tremendous aging style is a dedication to the quality of the fruit, the French oak used and the skill of the winemaker.
Will cellar beyond 2025
