Deep purple-crimson; a faultless evocation of all things McLaren Vale, with a dark chocolate coat surrounding the wonderfully supple red and black fruits of the palate and its velvety tannins. Rating 95 - Drink by 2034 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2012)
Winery Tasting Notes
The nose exhibits a complex array of primary fruit aromas including ripe deep black fruits and dark chocolate mix with spicy oak highlights.
The palate delivers a full bodied expression of McLaren Vale Shiraz. Dense dark fruits mixing with hints of chocolate and vanilla on a richly textured palate. The generosity of flavour is matched by an impressive density of thick chewy tannin providing structure for the sweetness of fruit to carry through a very long finish.
