Winery Profile

Ta_Ku comes from New Zealand, a land like no other, a land that produces pure, intense and distinctive flavours.

Situated in the South Pacific, we are perfectly positioned to receive an optimum balance of sunshine hours and cool evenings. Our climate, combined with our nutrient rich soil allows us to produce a world of pure discovery in every glass of Ta_Ku wine.

This is what respected winemaker Tom Newton has to say about Ta_Ku wines;"We're proud to offer a wine with all the hallmark characteristics that make the Sauvignon Blanc variety and style so regularly enjoyed around the world. You will find deliciously juicy characteristics of tropical fruits such as pineapple and passion fruit in this easy-drinking, distinct and vibrant wine.""Our NZ Pinot Gris is more textural and shows crunchy nashi pear and red apples. Varietally, it is almost the opposite of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Pinot Gris is not as aromatic or distinctive as Sauvignon Blanc however the creamy and more textural mouth feel makes it an excellent accompaniment to food."
