Rococo sparkling exudes style and elegance, ideal for warm weekends at the races or Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations. The name Rococo was inspired by the highly decorative artistic movement of 18th Century Europe and is a combination of the French word ‘rocaille’ (shell) and the Italian word ‘baroco’ (Baroque).
- VIC - Yarra Valley
The latest incarnation of Rococo represents great value Yarra Valley fizz of impressive finesse and tension, with well balanced dosage and nuances of fine, mineral mouth feel. Sourced from several Yarra Valley vineyards, base wines are fermented mainly in older casks and given lees contact for texture and softness. For all this activity, it retains a zesty and lively style, driven by lemon, apple and pear fruit, with gentle texture and spicy complexity of barrel fermentation. A fruit-focused sparkling of medium straw hue, lemon, red apple and pear fruit, with subtle, spicy lees complexity and creamy mouth feel, finishing with candied dosage. It's fresh and balanced. TS - Australian Wine Companion, Rating 89, 27th July 2015
