Vintage Condition

Little rainfall during winter preceded the 2009 growing season, following a similar trend to previous seasons. Dry conditions continued into the spring and summer months with growers using supplementary irrigation to maintain healthy vine canopies.Extremely hot conditions at the start of February were offset by milder temperatures for the remainder of the harvest. These milder temperatures were essential in preserving the grapes natural acidity, a key element of sparkling wine production.
