For this wine we reserved selected parcels of grapes grown in the Barossa region in South Australia. Here the warm days and cool nights allow for optimal development of intense flavour and complexity.
Jacob’s Creek Reserve Shiraz exhibits complex flavours of mulberry, plum, chocolate and spice with excellent fruit length.

Winery Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red
The nose shows bright, concentrated blackberry and clove aromas, with hints of white pepper and allspice reflecting the cooler vintage conditions; the fruit characters are supported by well integrated vanilla caramel oak.
The rich, spicy black fruits and stylish oak flavours are layered on a full bodied palate with the soft, silky tannins which are typical of Shiraz from the Barossa. The palate shows finely balanced acidity and concludes with a long satisfying finish.
An ideal accompaniment to braised lamb shanks, eye fillet of beef or hard cheeses.
Excellent drinking now, and will continue to improve over thenext five to ten years.
