Johnnie Walker Blue Label is specially blended to recreate the authentic character and taste of some of the earliest whisky blends created in the 19th century, giving it a rich peaty taste combined with a smooth, distinctly malty flavour. Specially selected from some of the finest and rarest of the Walker Reserves, each individual whisky used in the creation of the Blue Label Blend is matured long in its cask until it reaches the peak of its perfection. Few whiskies are allowed the time to acquire such depth and complexity of taste.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle is a perfect replica of the original design. Blue-green flint glass, square sided – yet tapering to the base with the now famous slanting label. In addition, the original design of cork stopper with seal has been used for this distinctive whisky which echoes the heritage of excellence for which the House of Walker is renowned.
The recreation of this unique 19 the century blend brings, in all its splendour, a traditionally strong mature taste which the discovering whisky connoisseur can truly savour. Small wonder that Alexander, son of John Walker, in 1888 proudly asserted “Our blend cannot be beat”.
