Expert Reviews

70/30% from several vineyards, each parcel separately warm-fermented with pump overs and plunging, mainly matured in new and used French oak, some retained in stainless steel. Deep, dense crimson-purple; a full-bodied blend with a full-blooded serve of savoury tannins. The balance is there to reward those who are patient. Winery Tasting Notes

Given the quality and intense varietal character of the Cabernet from this vintage we found that our final blend was more Cabernet dominate than past years. Intense mulberry, plum and a hint of eucalyptus are in balance with the rich Shiraz characters.

The palate is a smooth blend of the Cabernet tannins coupled with rich cherry and spice from the bolder Shiraz and a smooth lingering finish. French oak is in a supporting role to the tannins and fruit.
