Winery Tasting Notes
Houghton `Stripe` White Classic 2015: Fresh and flavorsome with fruit characters of pineapple, guava and passionfruit along with juicy citrus notes. The soft, gentle acidity provides balance and persistence of flavour. Houghton White Classic can be enjoyed as a young, fresh and fruity wine but careful cellaring of 5 - 7 years will be rewarded with toasty, marmalade like flavour complexity.
Peppermint Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2015: This wine displays classic aromatics of citrus, nettle, herbs and green capsicum offer a fruit driven yet complex nose. Sweet upfront tropical fruits dominate the palate, balanced by a grapefruit backbone of natural acidity and clean dry mineral edges.
Dapplebark Sauvignon Blanc 2014: Lifted floral spice, zesty, herbal, lime leaf, lemon grass and pear drops combine to make fresh lively aromatics. The palate is broad and soft, well balanced by tangy acidity and an array of summer fruits.
Southlands Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2014: Lifted aromas of lemon zest, white flowers and hints of passionfruit. Refreshing lemon and passionfruit flavours with mouth watering acidity.
Goose Chase Rose 2014: The wine has exotic aromas of summer berries and spice, this wine will tantalise your senses. Fun and carefree, to be served chilled and enjoyed with good friends.
Rivendell by Howling Wolves Chenin Blanc 2014: Tropical fruit flavours of guava and melon are lifted with citrus and red apple creating a fresh fruit salad bowl of flavour, with a lovely fruit weight and texture. This is an early drinking, soft tropical fruit style with great intensity of fruit flavours, balanced by fresh acidity and a hint of sweetness.
