Winery Tasting Notes
Peppermint Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2015:The cool crisp nights and moderate day temperatures of the Manjimup region creates even ripening and good acid retention for this Sauvignon Blanc. A wine that is good for early consumption
The Black Chook Sauvignon Blanc 2014:Utilising premium fruit from eminent wine regions in South Australia. The Black Chook struts affordable wines to be enjoyed and adored, shared and celeberated! Careful vineyard selection teamed with exceptional winemaking and an emphasis on consistent varietal expression hatches wines with approachability generosity and character that really are something to cluck about.
Angove `Brightlands` Chardonnay 2015:A crowd favourite modern Chardonnay, light, fruit filled and well balanced. Melon and bright tropical fruit with deft oak characters.
Peacock's Tail Riesling 2014:Looks like the purity of a spring - crystal clear with some slices of lime (like the ones you use for a lemon lime and bitters). Smells like freshly made lime cordial that your mum used to make (before she got too busy at work). Tastes like a very well put together mint mojito that you can't get from just any old bar, and your grandma's marmalade.
Goldridge East Coast `Reserve` Pinot Gris 2015: Luscious flavours of sweet pears, succulent peaches, nectarine and figs are wrapped up in a seductively soft creamy texture.
Monowai `Winemaker's Selection: This specially selected blend was produced from fruit from our own vineyard which was harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented between 12-15°C with yeast selected to maximise the natural fruit flavours. The wine was left sur lie to add complexity and enhance the richness of the wine.
