Winery Tasting Notes

Mt Pleasant Creek Estate Petite Sirah Durif 2008: Restrained dark and red fruit on nose. Palate firm with persistant length, fine tannins and clean finishing acidity.

Carbunup Crest Cabernet Merlot 2006: Aromas of blackcurrant, licorice and dark cherry. Palate exhibits lifted flavours of black olive, prune and plum with a touch of cinnamon and elegant silky tannin. The wine has good length and a balanced finish complemented by twelve months in oak barrels

Barking Owl Cabernet Sauvignon 2014: Aromas of cassis and plums with a hint of spice. Flavours of blackberries, ripe plums, blueberries. Fine grained tannin interlaced with a hint of savoury oak lead to a wine that is medium bodied with great length and flavour.

Peacock's Tail Shiraz Grenache 2012: The Shiraz shows lush, primary berry fruit flavours and a rich middle palate, whilst the Sangiovese offers that 'continental' savoury structure with spicy aromatics. This wine not only offers an array of flavours and sensations, but a moreish character we strive for in every wine.

Swiggit & Co Shiraz Grenache 2014: Lifted floral, liquorice, hints of plum and stone fruit on the nose. Fleshy and ripe, with black raspberry and cassis flavours, silky tannins and good finishing grip. You can simply ‘Swig it’ and enjoy.

Select Vineyards Classic Red 2011: This wine exhibits intense aromas of plums, herbs and raspberries with notes of mocha. On the palate, this medium body wine shows fine velvety texture followed by a soft finish.
