Pirramimma `Wattle Park` Shiraz 2013 (6 x 750mL), Adelaide Hills, SA.

The 2013 Wattle Park Adelaide Hills Shiraz was bottled on 24th November 2015, being red wine, will have bottle shock for a minimum of 4 months. Please wait until March to consume, I would recommend aeration as well, this will enable fruit, oak, tannin, acid and flavours to integrate back together.

After a comprehensive search of cool climate regions, we selected a rugged rocky hilltop to plant our high altitude vineyard. The picturesque Heritage listed, Kuitpo Hills Vineyard was established in 1985, covering 16 hectares of closely planted, low yielding vines, grown in shallow dark grey/ brown loam, interspersed with quartzite and ironstone pebbles, over Kaolin yellow clay.

Using compose, humates, microbes and nitrogen rich cover crops, we have embraced biological farming and sustainable practice. We proudly call this flora, fauna and grape sanctuary our home.

Expert Reviews

It fills your mouth with blackberry and coffee-cream flavour, the impression as seamless as it is powerful. Alcohol has been taken in its stride; tannin is like mozzarella, supple, stretchy and melted into the fruit.

Rated 92 by James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion. (Feb/2016)
