Heywood Vineyards Winemaker, Brett Duffin, has carefully crafted a wine to showcase the diversity of the South Australian regions and combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz with a perfect balance of fruit and oak.
“Most areas of South Australia were impacted by a lower than average rainfall during the winter period and warm dry conditions continued throughout harvest allowing the fruit to be picked in optimal condition. Smaller berry and bunch sizes, coupled with favourable weather conditions, produced great results for colour, tannin, fruit concentration and flavour depth”.
