Expert Reviews

85/10/5%, the grenache from Old Vine and Survivor Vine vineyards up to 73yo, hand-picked, destemmed, lightly crushed, partial wild yeast-fermented for 2 weeks, matured for 1 year in old puncheons. In one breath shows the skills of winemaker Alex Head and the determination of the Barossa Valley to make things as difficult as possible for makers of this blend. It's complex, fuzzily juicy, and enjoyable.

Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Opaque burgundy red.

Aroma/Palate

Medium bodied with light extract. Spiced red fruit nose with cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry. The palate has red fruits, musk sticks, candied orange rind with Grenache`s trademark warmth, volume and presence. Sweet tannins are spicy, fresh and chewy.
