Expert Reviews

"Vivid ruby. Suave, highly perfumed raspberry liqueur and cherry liqueur aromas are lifted by bright floral and mineral notes. Silky, seamless and focused on the palate, offering intense red fruit and spicecake flavors and a sexy rose pastille quality. Fine-grained tannins sneak in slowly, adding grip to a very long, floral-driven finish. As appealing as this wine is right now I'd give it at least another five years of rest.- Josh Raynolds"Rating 91 - Antonio Galloni's Vinous (November 2015)

Another outstanding effort is the 2011 Rioja Crianza, which is made from 100% Tempranillo. This wine shows plenty of white chocolate, licorice, red and blackcurrants and tobacco leaf in a lovely, full-bodied style that has reached full maturity. The wood is well-integrated and the wine fleshy, savory and ideal for drinking over the next 4-5 years."Rating 90 - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (March 2016)

Winery Tasting Notes

Colour:This is a highly-concentrated, dark cherry-red wine.

Nose: A lively, delicate nose with liquorice and fresh fruit aromas of the Tempranillo variety, with spicy hints. It keeps the essential aromas of compote fruit.

Palate: It is ample and fleshy and has elegance, complexity and power. On the palate, it shows soft tannins and liquorice, a velvety structure and a long, delicious and persistent finish.

Food matches: Red meats, stews, game, cured cheeses.
