Grays Tasting Panel Review

What a big, bold wine.

When opening the bottle first, the oak is strong, very powerful, with a lot of youthfulness.

After breathing for a bit however, the wine appears much softer, the oak is more integrated, the tannins are smoother.

Beautiful aromas of blond tobacco and toffee, leading to leathery, earthy notes with a pleasant vanilla touch.

In my opinion, a very 'old world' style wine, powerful, to be best enjoyed with some food.

What was I craving when tasting it? Skirt steak with a creamy mushroom sauce. Yum!
